About Me
My name is Skyler Morris, I am 17 years old and I am a senior at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy. I have been dancing for 14 years now. I have done most genres ranging from pointe to hip-hop. Being dedicated to a dance team almost my whole life makes me want to share that feeling with others. Ever since I was around 6 years old I started to feel the need to help others. For my 7th birthday I started donating presents to the Boys and Girls Village, and I’ve continued to do that for many years. I have been in the National Honor Society since my Sophomore year. I am going to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the Pre-Med Physicians Assistant Pathway, for 6 years. I want to work in the Pediatrics field because of how much I enjoy helping kids. |
Mission Statement
I want to succeed at MCPHS and start my future as a physician's assistant. I hope that I can make a difference in children's lives and that's why I want to work in the pediatrics field. I hope that I can have a family and raise kids of my own. I hope that I can help out my friends and family in the future with the medical knowledge that I will gain. Most of all I hope that my family and I are healthy and happy.
Introduction to Dance
When I was 3 years old I started dance because my best friend joined dance. Little did I know that it would become the love of my life and something I will continue to do for my whole life. I started off at a small studio, and we would compete but we mostly focused on preparing for shows. I did jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip-hop, and lyrical. As I grew older I started to realize that I wanted to compete more and get more serious about my dance training. Two years ago, my sister and I switched danced studios to a school that is more focuses on training and competitions. This was a great decision because now I can compete several times a year and focus on jazz and tap because those are the styles I love the most. I plan to continue dancing at MCPHS in a program with MassArt.
